This class is designed for children in Reception, Year 1 & 2 at Primary school. This is an ideal class for beginners or for those who have attended our Preschool or nursery class. The fundamentals of both Ballet and Tap technique are taught in fun, exciting and memorable ways.

Ballet focuses on teaching the foundations of dance technique including correct posture, alignment and placement of the body. Tap teaches rhythm, coordination and balance. We follow the IDTA syllabus in both Ballet and Tap to ensure that our students receive the very best training and progressive exercises.

We often use games, props and creative tasks to engage our dancers, encouraging them to use their imagination and foster self-expression throughout the class.

The Reception- Year 2 Ballet & Tap class will take part in our Christmas & Summer showcases, where we perform to friends and family at a local theatre. We also hold regular “Parent Watching Weeks” where we invite parents to come and see their children in class.
